Kitchen Cleaners
You are about to make the most amazing natural and safe cleaners in your own home.
All Purpose Grease Cutter
This is a wonderfully effective degreaser
1/2 teaspoon washing soda
1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil-based liquid soap
3 tablespoons vinegar
450ml (2 cups) hot water
Mix the ingredients together in a spray bottle. Spray, leave for a minute then wipe.
Appliance Cleaner One
450ml (2 cups) water
30g (1/4 cup) oil-based soap
10 drops rosemary, lavender or citrus essential oil
450ml (2 cups) hot water
Combine all the ingredient in a plastic spray bottle. Shake well before use.
Spray generously on appliance surface and wipe with a damp cloth or sponge. Wipe dry with a dry
cloth or paper towel.
Appliance Cleaner Two
1 teaspoon borax
3 tablepoons vinegar
450ml (2 cups) hot water
Combine all in a spray bottle. Shake to mix and dissolve the borax. Spray on appliances and wipe off
with a soft cloth or sponge.
Microwave Cleaner One
30g (1/4 cup) baking soda
1 teaspoon vinegar
5-6 drops of thyme, lemongrass or lemon essential oil
Combine all the ingredient together to make a paste. Apply to the walls and floor of the microwave
with a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse well and leave the microwave door open to air dry for about
30 minutes.
Microwave Cleaner Two
225ml (1 cup) water
1.2ltrs (2 pints) warm water
30g (1/4 cup) baking soda
To loosen any dried on food, put 225ml (1 cup) of water in the microwave and heat until it starts to
boil. Turn it off and let the water sit for a minute.
Dissolve the baking soda in 1.2ltrs (2 pints) of warm water and using a sponge or cloth wash the interior of the microwave. This solution will both clean and deodorise it.
Oven Cleaner
1.2ltrs (2 pints) of warm water
2 teaspoons borax
2 tablespoons liquid soap
Spray the solution on the dirty parts of the oven and wait 20 minutes, then clean with a cloth or sponge and rinse with some clean water.
