Dishwashing
You are about to make the most amazing natural and safe cleaners in your own home.
Natural Dishwashing Liquid One
30g (1/4 cup) soap flakes
450ml (2 cups) hot water
55ml (1/4 cup) glycerin
1/2 teaspoon of lemon essential oil
or use any combination of your favourite essential oils
Combine the soap flakes and water and stir well until all the soap is dissolved. Allow to cool to luke warm then add the glycerin and essential oil.
Leave to cool fully.
As it cools it will form a gel, stir it with a falk to break it up and then pour it into a bottle (squeezy bottles are best). To use just squeeze a little into
hot running water just like any other washing up liquid.
Natural Dishwashing Liquid Two
650ml (3 cups) Castile soap
10 drops of lavender oil
8 drops of rosemary oil
4 drops of eucalypyus oil
or use any combination of your favourite essential oils
Fill a 650ml plastic squirt bottle with the Castile soap (diluted as directed on the packaging if using concentrate). Add the essential oils. To use, just
squire a few teaspoons of the liquid until hot running water.
Natural Automatic Dishwasher Detergent
110ml (1/2 cup) liquid Castile soap
110ml (1/2 cup) water
1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice
3 drops of tea tree oil
55ml (1/4 cup) white vinegar
Baking soda
Mix everything together except the baking soda. Store in a squeeze bottle.
Use 1 tablespoon in the automatic soap dispenser for an average load. Sprinkle some baking soda over the dirty dishes and in the bottom of your dishwasher to
absorb odours and boost cleaning power at the start. If any food is dried or burn on anything the add a tablespoon of the detergent to the bottom of the
dishwasher too.
